De Amerikanen van Machine Head en de Zweden van Amon Amarth, samen met de Scandinaviërs The Halo Effect als opener, bundelen de krachten op The Viking & Lionhearts Tour 2022, die op vrijdag 21 oktober 2022 in Vorst Nationaal halthoudt.

In de dertig jaar van hun bestaan heeft Machine Head een buitengewone catalogus van klassiekers vergaard, terwijl ze tegelijkertijd hun reputatie opbouwden als één van de krachtigste en meedogenlooste live-bands in de heavy metal. Met albums als ‘Bloodstone & Diamonds’ (2014) en ‘Catharsis’ (2018) die divers, destructief en politiek geladen zijn, houdt Machine Head nooit op te evolueren, zonder daarbij de furieuze geest van hun roots te verliezen. Ongevoelig voor trends en trots dat ze onderscheiden blijven, is Machine Head nog steeds een bulldozer die alles verplettert.

Sinds 1992 zijn de heavy metal warlords Amon Amarth gestaag gegroeid in kracht en populariteit, met als hoogtepunt een verbluffende prestatie op hun laatste album ‘Berserker’ uit 2019, met wereldwijd succes in de charts: Duitsland #1, Zwitserland #1, Oostenrijk #2 en België #18.
